Year Round Experiences

From friendly people, family focused community events, to unlimited access to outdoor recreation, Yerington provides community members with a true taste of the west.

Night in the Country
Away from the big city lights, the Night in the Country experience transforms the quiet farming town of Yerington, Nevada into a country music destination. A benefit for community cornerstone, the Boys & Girls Club of Mason Valley, this multi-day festival brings in big names, enthusiastic crowds, and outstanding times to our small community.

Walker River State Recreation Area
Consisting of several historic ranches, this Nevada State Park just outside of Yerington is an outdoor enthusiasts dream. Try your hand at fly-fishing on the East Walker River, bring your OHV to cruise the beautiful countryside where one can see agriculture meet the high desert backdrop, or relax under a cottonwood tree and take in the native birds and plants in this serene setting.

Gaming
Yerington’s charming main street features two gaming pillars of Nevada. Dini’s Lucky Club serve’s as a legacy experience for travelers and locals alike, trying their hands at gaming and enjoying local food fare. Pioneer Crossing features a large convention center for banquets and celebrations to meet their welcoming casino environment and on-site food.

Car Shows
Visitors and locals both look forward to the annual summer car shows in Yerington! Dini’s Lucky Club hosts the Yerington Main Street Car Show every June. Additionally, the Boys and Girls Club of Mason Valley leads the family oriented “Take a Kid to a Car Show” in September!

Lyon County Fair & Rodeo
Always taking place the third weekend of August, the Lyon County Fair and Rodeo is a show worth visiting (and staying) for. Featuring the main event rodeo, an in-town parade, demolition derby, and much more, visit Yerington and see what the buzz is all about!

Farmy’s Off-road Park
The City of Yerington had almost 1,000 acres of unused land that they recently designated for off-road use for the community and for OHV events. Called Farmy’s Off-road Park, this exciting development will bring in more visitors to the area and allow for our families to enjoy convenient OHV outdoor recreation.

Fishing at Mason Valley Wildlife Management Area
With the Walker River weaving it’s way through the Mason Valley Wildlife Management Area (MVWMA), anglers can try their hand at catching some large fish in the local waters. This location just north of Yerington also boasts small fishing ponds for local and visiting families to enjoy!
